About the role
A large professional services company in Ronkonkoma is hiring for this role. You will own sales tax compliance for a portfolio of clients, from preparing and filing returns to keeping their records and cash activity in order. The role exists to keep client filings accurate, on time and well documented.
What you'll do
- Prepare and file sales tax returns
- Process annual personal property returns
- Maintain client records and supporting documents
- Manage cash balances, deposits and sales data
- Assist with client registrations, respond to jurisdictional notices and prepare monthly gross sales reports
What you bring
- Hands-on experience preparing and filing sales tax returns
- Familiarity with personal property returns and jurisdictional notices
- Careful record keeping and attention to supporting documentation
- Clear communication with clients about inquiries or penalties
