About the role
A mid-sized construction company in Toronto is hiring for this role. You will own the financial side of construction projects, tracking performance against budget and keeping contracts, billing and cost reporting in order. The role exists to give project teams a clear, current view of where each job stands financially.
What you'll do
- Monitor and report project financial performance
- Manage budgets, forecasts, contracts and purchase orders
- Handle billing, collections, and accounts receivable and payable
- Investigate cost variances and non-recoverable expenses
- Maintain project documentation, prepare financial reports and close out project accounts
What you bring
- Accounting experience tied to project work
- Working knowledge of budgeting, forecasting and cost control
- Comfort with contracts, purchase orders and billing
- A solid grasp of accounts receivable, accounts payable and collections
- Attention to detail in documentation and financial reporting
