About the role
A large chemical manufacturing company in Mount Vernon is hiring for this role. You will keep plant systems and equipment running through maintenance, troubleshooting and repair, and work with plant personnel and contractors to set maintenance priorities and support turnaround work.
What you'll do
- Perform maintenance, troubleshooting and repair on plant systems and equipment, including pumps, valves, heat exchangers and steam traps
- Carry out fabrication and welding work as needed
- Coordinate maintenance priorities and turnaround work with plant personnel and contractors
- Track your activities through the work order system
- Follow established safety practices on every job
What you bring
- Hands-on maintenance experience in a plant environment
- Welding and fabrication skills
- Troubleshooting skills on pumps, valves, heat exchangers and steam traps
- Comfort working with a work order system
